Superheroes starring in TV series has become immensely popular and these shows continue to build momentum which can be largely attributed to the vast success of recent and current superhero television programs. These shows include Marvel’s “Jessica Jones” and “Daredevil” and also DC’s “The Flash” and “Arrow.”
These action-packed TV series will continue to play a huge role on television in 2016. In addition to the multiple superhero shows currently out, Marvel fans also have “Iron Fist,” “Luke Cage” and “The Defenders” to look forward to.
As for DC fans, CW has officially confirmed the premiere date for its new superhero series “Legends of Tomorrow.” According to IMDb, the plot of the show centers on time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) who recruits a team of heroes and villains (yup villains) so that they can help stop a villainous dictator Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) before he causes an apocalypse.
The superhero/villain cast includes:
The Atom (Brandon Routh), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Firestorm (Victor Garber), Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée), White Canary (Caity Lotz), and Jefferson ‘Jax’ Jackson (Franz Drameh).

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” will premiere on Thursday, January 21, 2016 which is just about two months before the massively anticipated film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is released world-wide on March 25, 2016.
