According to Deadline, the highly renowned Critics Choice Awards have announced that after being on The CW for numerous years, they will now hold the 30th ceremony with their new partners, E! and Peacock. E! will host the live ceremony, which will be streamed on Peacock the next day. In addition to the partnership, E! will air pre-show red carpet before the ceremony from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET/PT. Shows that have been have winner in the previous ceremonies consists of Succession, Shogun and numerous others.
“We’re thrilled to be working with E! to present our landmark 30th annual Critics Choice Awards,” said CCA CEO Joey Berlin(McCartney’s Genes)in an interview with Deadline. “With the incredible Chelsea Handler returning as our host, we know this special 30th anniversary show is going to be our biggest and best show yet, and we couldn’t be more excited to be airing the show live on E! and available to stream on Peacock next day.”
Deadline also announced that Chelsea Handler (This Means War) will return to host the awards show for the third consecutive year. Handler’s witty and engaging personality has proven to be a hit with audiences, and her continued involvement ensures that the Critics Choice Awards will remain a must-watch event.Handler stated, “Returning for the third year to host the Critics Choice Awards has been made even sweeter knowing it will now air on E! I feel like I’m returning to my birthplace.”
According to Deadline, the award show’s process is time-consuming, starting with nomination deliberation on November 11, closing them out on November 18 and sending them to the film members. Bob Bain Productions and Berlin Entertainment will return to produce the prestigious award show. There will surely be familiar faces at the ceremony, arousing the viewers in anticipation of the winner.
