While it is unknown if or when the show is releasing, we know that the show has been an idea in the minds of Critical Role for quite some time. The idea was thrown around with Amazon, kept at Prime Video and even gained a pilot script. It is unknown if it is finished or even recorded. The show has been announced along with a movie. Critical Role even announced that video games have been teased.

On Prime Video, the first campaign is Vox Machina which follows the character creation of Vox Machina and consists of 115 episodes and was from 2015 to 2017. The next campaign was the Mighty Nein which were outlaws that are given powers that were thought to be long gone, and then told to save the world. This campaign ran for 141 episodes and it ran from 2018 to 2021. The third campaign is Hells Bells which takes place in Marquet with characters who meet and team up to conquer and common threat. It started in 2021 and ended in February of 2025. The current campaign started October 2025 in Araman, with a new Dungeon Master. The Old Dungeon Master became a player which makes the tables turn. There were a few spin-offs as well in between, like Exandria Unlimited which is an anthology series with a few different Game Masters. And two animated series called The Legend of Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein on Prime Video.

You can catch Critical Role broadcasted on Prime Video, Twitch, and Youtube at 10 PM EST.
