Deadline reports that social media celebrity and creator of the Club Rat series “Eva Evans” passed away. She was 29 years old when she passed. Lila Joy, Evans’ sister, announced the news on social media.
Joy shared a post via Instagram: “Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died, after 24 hours, i still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so i know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be.”
She went on to say: ”I wish I had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don’t. I am keeping this brief, so we can plan for the next few days, but you’ll be hearing a lot more from me on how much Eva means to me and just how different the world will be without her.”
Deadline claims that Evans was the star, writer, director, and producer of the five-episode Prime Video series Club Rat. The show focused on Evans’s character Eva, a conceited influencer who tries to get back into the crazy New York City dating scene after an embarrassing video of her breakup goes viral.
The social media influencer reportedly railed against Apple for not having an emoji for the Yankees in her most recent Instagram post, which was published four days ago, according to Deadline.
She joked on her Instagram post stating: “Today, I discovered that there’s no Yankees emoji? I’ve heard people try to claim that NYC isn’t the center of the universe before, but I just wasn’t expecting this. Do better @apple.”
In response to the post following her passing, Lo Bosworth, (The Hills, Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County) posted: “Rest in peace, angel Eva you were always kind to me when others couldn’t be bothered. Will never forget that kindness.”
