According to Deadline, Corbin Bernsen (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Major League) will be a recurring character in Latoya Morgan (Dark Blood, Robyn Hood and the Hunt) in J.J. Abram’s (Alias, Fringe) HBO Max series, Duster. Bernsen will be opposite Rachel Hilson (American Horror Story, This Is Us) and Josh Holloway (Lost, Yellowstone). Abrams and Morgan co-write the period drama series.
Duster is set in 1972 and follows the first black female FBI agent, played by Hilson, as she heads to the Southwest and recruits a bold getaway driver in a risky attempt to take down a growing crime syndicate. Bernsen plays the father of Holloway’s character, Wade Ellis.
Bernsen is a two-time Golden Globe and Emmy nominee who is best known for his work on Psych and LA Law. He will be in comedy series The Curse on Showtime with Nathan Fielder (The Rehearsal, Nathan For You), Benny Safdie (Good Times, Uncut Gems), and Emma Stone (Zombieland, Superbad) and he recently had a season-long arc on City on a Hill, also on Showtime.
Duster is produced by Warner Bros. Television. The first two episodes of the series are written by Morgan and Abrams and are directer by Steph Green (Watchmen, The Book of Boba Fett), who executive produces as well. Also executive producing are Rachel Rusch Rich (Presumed Innocent, Demimonde) and Abrams for Bad Robot, and Morgan through TinkerToy Productions.
The series also stars Camille Guaty (Prison Break, Las Vegas), Keith David (Greenleaf, Rick and Morty), Benjamin Charles Watson (Designated Survivor, I Am Syd Stone), Kevin Chamberlain (Jessie, A Series of Unfortunate Events) Greg Gunberg (Heroes, Felicity), and Asivak Koostachin (Aski Boys, Cardinal).
