According to Deadline, the trailer for Chris Rock’s (Grown Ups, Madagascar) animated series, Everybody Still Hates Chris, has been released. The animation is a spin-off of the original show, Everybody Hates Chris. The show will debut on September 25 on Comedy Central. View the trailer below. It stars Rock as a grown-up version of himself narrating about being a skinny nerd from a working-class family in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn in the late 80s.
The trailer has released a long list of guest stars and recurring characters. A few of these guest stars include Busta Rhymes (Halloween: Resurrection, Narc), Ayo Edebri (The Bear, Bottoms), and Sally Jessy Raphael (The Addams Family, Sally). The three will be working alongside Bell Biv DeVoe members Ricky Bell (Girls Trip, Family Matters), Michael L. Bivins (The Perfect Guy, Crossover), Ronald Boyd Devon Jr., (Think Like a Man Too, Krush Groove) along with Tisha Campbell (Little Shop of Horrors, Martin) and Sam Richardson (The Afterparty, Ted Lasso).

Deadline reports Terry Crews (White Chicks, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) returns as the voice actor for Chris’ dad, Julius. He tries his best to be the breadwinner for his family and is incredibly hard-working. Tichina Arnold (Little Shop of Horrors, Big Momma’s House) will again voice Rochelle, Chris’ mom. Her positive attributes include her being nurturing, smart, and strong-willed. However, she can become hot-headed and does not tolerate nonsense. Tim Johnson Jr. (Hit the Road, Bella and the Bulldogs) voices small Chris, Ozioma Akagha (Teen Titans Go!, Delilah) will voice his younger sister Tanya, Gunnar Sizemore (Lucky, The Miracle Show) voices Chris’ friend Greg, and Terrence Little Gardenhigh (Henry Danger, Firebuds) will voice his brother, Drew.
Everybody Hates Chris ran for four seasons on The CW and UPN from 2005 until 2009. The show’s producers are CBS Studios Animation’s Eye Animation Products and Chris Rock Enterprise.
Deadline lists Sanjay Shah (South Park, Fresh Off the Boat) as the showrunner and executive producer alongside Rock, co-creator of Everybody Hates Chris, Ali LeRoi (American Refugee, Head of State), Dave Becky (Old Dads, Loot) and Michael Rotenberg (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Insecure). The animation studio for the series, Titmouse, has other executive producers attached, including Antonio Canobbio (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Superheroes), Ben Kalina (Big Mouth, Angry Birds: Mystery Island), Chris Prynoski (Downtown, Turbo Fast) and Shannon Prynoski (Nerdland, Girls Rising).
