Comedy Central’s newest animated comedy Trip Tank will premiere on Wednesday, April 2.
The animated series will air eight half-hour episodes weekly. It has a varied range of fast-paced, hard-hitting animated comedy shorts. It will utilize the anthology style and weave together stand-alone and recurring narrative pieces. The first episode will have shorts “Jeff and Some Aliens,” “Ricky the Rocketship,” “Toaster Lover,” “Suicidal Chicken” and “Killer Bees.”
Voice work on the animated series includes Dave Attell, Scott Aukerman, Deidrich Bader, Vanessa Bayer, Wayne Brady, Jemaine Clement, Jon Daly, Nat Faxon, Ashley Fink, Brett Gelman, Dave Herman, Ellie Kemper, Tom Kenny, Kyle Kinane, Bobby Lee, Natasha Leggero, Justin Long, Katy Mixon, Kumail Nanjiani, Bob Odenkirk, Chris Parnell, Nasim Pedrad, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Jim Rash, Paul Reiser, Nick Swardson, Alan Tudyk, Billy West, Fred Willard and Harland Williams.
Trip Tank features 2D, stop-motion and CGI animation. Creators on the series include Tommy Blacha (The Eric Andre Show, Metalocalypse), Daniel Cardenas (Xemoland, Deep Space 69), Nick Gurewitch (PBF Comics), Evan Keogh (PBF Comics), Laura Kightlinger (Saturday Night Live), Jordan Morris (PBF Comics), Bill Oakley (The Simpsons, Portlandia), Bob Odenkirk (Mr. Show, Breaking Bad), Tim Saccardo (Community) and Greg White (Ugly Americans, Brickleberry).
Episodes will be available the following day in SD and HD on Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, Xbox Video, Sony Entertainment Network, Vudu and Verizon Flexview. Trip Tank is executive produced by ShadowMachine’s Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico.
