According to The Hollywood Reporter, Comedy Central has set an official premiere date for their new animated series Everybody Still Hates Chris, along with first look at the series. The animated series will be a continuation of Chris Rock’s (The Longest Yard, Head of State) life following the UPN/CW sitcom Everybody Hates Chris series. The series is set to air this fall on September 25.
Everybody Still Hates Chris will continue the original series, which will be narrated by Rock. The series will follow Rock’s experience growing up as a skinny nerd in a large working-class family in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, during the late 1980s. Through its animation arm, Eye Animation Productions, CBS Studios will be producing the series along with Chris Rock Enterprises and 3 Arts Entertainment.

Tichina Arnold (The Neighborhood, Happily Divorced) and Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Idiocracy) will be reprising their roles as Rochelle and Julius, Chris’ parents from the original series. Tim Johnson Jr. (Future Man, Pacific Rim: Uprising) will play young Chris, and Terrence Little Gardenhigh (Coffee & Kareem, Danger Force) and Ozioma Akagha (Teen Titans Go!, The Loud House) will be voicing Chris’s siblings Drew and Tonya and Gunnar Sizemore (Craig of the Creek, Young Jedi Adventures) will play Greg, Chris’ only friend at school.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the series will be joining other animated series, such as the long-running South Park as well as Digman!, which has been renewed for a second season on the network. Rock will serve as executive producer of the series with showrunner Sanjay Shah (Fresh Off the Boat, Central Park), Ali LeRoi (Are We There Yet?, Half Brothers), co-creator of the original series; Michael Rotenberg (Office Space, Manhunt), Dave Becky (Russian Doll, Rough Night), Chris Prynoski (Motorcity, Her), Shannon Prynoski (Big Mouth, Royal Crackers), Antonio Canobbio (Superheroes, Murder Man) and Ben Kalina (Frog and Toad, Kiff) of animation studio Titmouse
Everybody Still Hates Chris will premiere on Comedy Central.
