Comcast’s StreamSaver Bundle Launches With Netflix, Peacock And Apple TV+ For Customers

In the era of streaming services, customers are faced with which networks to subscribe to and the rising cost of having so many to choose from. To simplify the process, Comcast announced that they will be offering their Xfinity broadband patrons a way to save on Peacock, ad-tier Netflix and Apple TV+ subscriptions, launching the StreamSaver bundle for $15 monthly.

According to Deadline, Comcast has offered customers savings of up to 30% and about $100 off packages, which included a Peacock subscription with the Xfinity broadband plan. Still, the new StreamSaver bundle is meant to offer customers a greater deal.

In a previous mxdwn article, the CEO of Connectivity and Platforms at Comcast, Dave Watson, commented that their new bundle is both “a home run for customers” and for the streaming services they have partnered with. Watson continued that Netflix, Apple and Peacock all “benefit from the reach and depth of our entertainment platforms and Xfinity’s marketing engine.

While Comcast is trying to cut customers a deal, Deadline claims that combining streaming services into concise bundle boosts its broadband program. Deadline revealed that “The company had about 32 million broadband customers at the end of the first quarter, though it reported an uncharacteristic slip over the same period in 2023. Comcast is also the second-largest pay-TV operator in the U.S., having recently been eclipsed by Charter.”

However, Comcast’s contract with Peacock is becoming integral to their business strategy and that of NBCU. Deadline confirmed that while Peacock “has lagged many competitors in total subscribers and, like most, still loses money, its healthy amount of live sports programming, including Premier League soccer, NFL football and professional golf, has helped it add subscribers at a significant clip,” with full coverage of the summer Olympics events adding to the streaming service’s appeal.

Comcast’s strategies aside, customers looking for more than the StreamSaver bundle will be able to add the NOW TV package to their plan for an additional $15 monthly, including “more than 40 live TV channels, including AMC, A&E, Hallmark, History Channel, Lifetime and WEtv, as well as more than two dozen FAST channels,” via Deadline.
