Don Lemon has had his share of controversy and this attention has garnered his own prime-time show.
According to Indiewire, Lemon has given CNN an “edge” and a personality. This is something that has worked well for MSNBC and Fox News. CNN has given Lemon a primetime show that will air five days a week on the network.
The show airs next month at 11 PM ET. That current time slot is held by reruns of Outfront hosted by Erin Burnett. Lemon will also fill in for Burnett while she is out on maternity leave.
Lemon currently has a new daily show about “a one-topic show tackling important issues of the day, either reported or vastly under-reported, from Lemon’s unique perspective.”
