According to Screenrant, The Witcher’s Freya Allan (The War of the Worlds) revealed at San Diego’s Comic-Con that the story of season four will involve Ciri on a journey of self-discovery and that she will not interact with Luke Hemsworth’s (Thor: Love and Thunder) Geralt. She will then start her outlaw lifestyle as she travels with the Rats, who helped her escape from the season three finale.
In an interview with Screenrant, Allan stated, “There’s no relationship this season. Ciri’s off on her own path and he’s off on his own, and so it’s, “Forget about Geralt.” That’s what Ciri’s in the zone of. “Let’s try and block that out. That never happened. Now I’m Falka; I’m not Ciri.” But as you can see, I sort of haven’t left it behind. I’m sort of still in it now.”
She continued, “But Liam’s lovely; he’s a really nice guy. I haven’t seen anything he’s done because we don’t really have scenes together, but he’s so sweet. I’ve heard that he’s smashing it, so I can’t wait to see what he’s doing.”
This dramatic shift in the dynamic between Geralt and Ciri promises a darker, more independent arc for the young sorceress. As she navigates her newfound freedom, fans can expect to see Ciri evolve into a formidable force in her own right. According to Screenrant, there is no doubt that Ciri and Geralt will eventually find themselves reunited for The Witcher season five, but perhaps separating the two ahead of the show’s final season could prove beneficial to both characters. Another benefit of separating the characters is that it gives Hemsworth’s a chance to make his role of Geralt his own.
While fans wait for further information surrounding the release date of the approaching season, they can stream the previous three seasons on Netflix and rewatch Henry Cavill’s (Enola Holmes) performance in the renowned fantasy series.
