Farrah Mackenzie from Amazon’s Utopia is the newest addition to star in the comedy series, United States of Al, according to an exclusive report from Deadline. CBS announced late last year that the series would be picked up for the 2020-2021 broadcast season. Adhir Kalyan (Rules Of Engagement) and Parker Young (Imposters, Suburgatory) star in the upcoming Chuck Lorre series. Chuck Lorre’s latest show will join the long list of his #1 hits at CBS like Young Sheldon, Mom, B Positive, and Bob ❤️ Abishola. The United States Of Al‘s starring cast also includes Kelli Gross (Netflix’s The Ranch), Dean Norris (Breaking Bad, Under The Dome) and Elizabeth Alderfer (A.P. Bio, Netflix’s Disjointed).
The Chuck Lorre and Warner Brothers Television upcoming production follows the friendship between Marine combat veteran, Riley (Young) and the Interpreter who served with him in his Afghanistan unit, Awalmir (Kalyan). Following the two as they settle into their civilian life in Ohio. Riley returns and Awalmir (or Al for short), is just arriving to start this new chapter of his life in America.
The new CBS comedy, United States of Al is created and written by David Goetsch and Maria Ferrari. Chuck Lorre executive produces the show along with Reza Aslan, Mahyad Tousi and pilot episode director Mark Cendrowski. According to an official release from ViacomCBS.

Mackenzie recently starred in Amazon’s adaptation of the British drama Utopia as Alice. Alongside co stars John Cusack (2012) and Rainn Willson (The Office). She also portrayed Stella Parton in NBC’s Television movie Dolly Parton’s Coat Of Many Colors, as well as the Emmy Nominated Dolly Parton’s Christmas Of Many Colors: Circle Of Love.
