According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Prime Video adult animated Batman series has cast Christina Ricci (Casper, Monstrous) as Catwoman/Selina Kyle. The Batman: Caped Crusader series, created by Matt Reeves (The Batman, Ordinary Joe), has recently announced many new cast members joining the animated series.The series producers include Reeve, J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, The Blue Angels), and Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League: Gods and Monsters).
“Ricci is joining the cast that currently consists of Hamish Linklater (The Big Short, American Horror Story), who will voice Bruce Wayne and Batman; Jamie Chung (Big Hero 6, My Dad the Bounty Hunter) will voice Harley Quinn and Dr. Harleen Quinzel and Diedrich Bader (Meet the Spartans, Masters of the Universe: Revolution) will voice Harvey Dent and Two-Face. These will be the main roles in the series throughout the first season.”

As per The Hollywood Reporter, the Prime Video series has been stated to be a very dark and grown-up version of the known Batman franchise. The official description is as follows: “Welcome to Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear. Forged in the fire of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human—the Batman. His one-man crusade attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications.”
Ricci has many credits from the early 90s, including The Addams Family, The Hard Way, The Cemetery Club and Sleepy However. However, she is recently known for her roles on Showtime’s Yellowjacket and Netflix’s Wednesday.
Batman: Caped Crusader is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on August 1st with all 10 episodes. The show is from Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions and 6th & Idaho.
