Good news for fans of USA’s Chrisley Knows Best!
This past week, Variety announced that ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ has been renewed for another season. This marks the fifth season for the show. In addition to the news of the season renewal, the current fourth season has also been extended from the previous order of 20 episodes to a now 26 episodes.
The news of the season extension and season renewal come after the Nielsen numbers for season four revealed an increase in viewers between the ages of 18-49 years old. This is an increase of about 1.4 million viewers or a 3% increase from the third season. Nielsen also revealed an increase among viewers between the ages of 25-54 years old, who make up about 1.5 million viewers and 703,000 viewers for the 18-49 year old viewers.
Season four first premiered on the USA network back in mid-March and ended mid-June. The second half of season four will premiere sometime later this fall. Chrisley Knows Best is set to premiere it’s fifth season in 2017.
Chrisley Knows Best follows the lives of wealthy Atlanta man Todd Chrisley and his family. Chrisley is currently the number one unscripted show for the time slot across all other shows during the same time.
The show is produced by Maverick TV and All3Media America. Executive producers for the show have been Todd Chrisley, Simon Knight, Jim Sayer, Cat Rodriguez, Greg Lipstone and Adam Grenner.
The docu-series, which first premiere in 2014, centers around self-made millionaire Todd Chrisley, his wife and former Miss Carolina, Julie and their five children. Todd is a bit of a control maniac and is often seen micromanaging his children. The show follows the trials the family goes through together and the inevitable “leaving of the nest” the children take.
With more episodes being ordered and viewership increasing, it looks like the Chrisley family will be around for awhile.
What do you think of the season renewal, will you be tuning in to catch all the antics?
