Charlie Sheen (Two And A Half Men) will star in a new drama-comedy series, Ramble On, that will be created by Doug Ellin (Entourage), according to Deadline. The outlet also reported that the show will be set in Hollywood.
Ellin released a statement on the upcoming series via Deadline.
“This idea has been spinning in my head for years and seeing it come to life is incredible,” Ellin said. “I feel beyond grateful that so many of my Entourage crew and cast members, along with some of the most talented, comedic forces in the industry, have joined us on this exciting new journey. We cannot wait to share this with the world.”
The show will also star two Entourage alums, Kevin Connolly (The Notebook) and Kevin Dillon (The Blob), who will play themselves as Hollywood veterans who want to reinvent their voices alongside up and coming actors who want to establish their own, according to Deadline.
Ramble On will also feature appearances from Sheen’s father Martin Sheen (The West Wing), Kimiko Glenn (Orange Is The New Black), Bre-Z (All American), John C. McGinley (Are We Done Yet?), Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos), Zulay Henao (True Memoirs Of An International Assassin), Mark Cuban (Sharknado), James Hiroyuki Liao (Hard Luck), Harvey Guillén (What We D0 In The Shadows), Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), Sara Sanderson (Her Minor Thing), Mikaela Hoover (Guardian Of The Galaxy), and Adam Waheed (Adam’s World) with a guest appearance by Emmanuelle Chriqui (You Don’t Mess With The Zohan), another Entourage alum, per Deadline.
The show will be produced by Angry Lunch, which is a new production company founded by Ellin and Ted Foxman, a former semiconductor testing equipment executive and real estate developer with no prior producing experience. Gary Goldman (All Dogs Go To Heaven) will also be an executive producer, Deadline reports.
Deadline also reports that Ramble On currently does not have an airing or streaming home, but the producers of the dramedy are currently in talks with potential buyers.
