Charlie Cox States That Disney+’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Was Not Going To Crossover To The Netflix Adaptation

According to Comicbook, Charlie Cox (Spider-Man: No Way Home) has stated that the new Disney+ Daredevil: Born Again series was originally not going to crossover with the Netflix Daredevil series. With the new reboot scheduled to premiere next year, many wondered if the series would interact with the Netflix adaptation seeing as Cox is reprising his role and the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. Cox spoke with TV Insider about the possible link between the Netflix and Disney adaptations.

According to Comicbook, Cox spoke with TV Insider and told them that “a lot” of crossovers were coming to the series. A co-star on the series clarified, “It originally wasn’t going to be at all, but now it’s a lot.”

Cox also said, “I think it’s the fans. I think [it’s] the studio as well,” stating that both fan pressure as well as the studios had their roles to play in deciding what the series would be.

According to Deadline, during Disney’s Upfront presentation for advertisers on Thursday, Vincent D’Onofrio (Echo) and Cox teased what viewers can expect from the series. The two also talk about how they barely have scenes together in the new adaptation.

“It’s a physically demanded show, which I love, I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Cox told Deadline on the red carpet. “There will come a time where I am not able to do it anymore but for right now, just keep doing the best job we can and loving it. Feel incredibly grateful for still making this show and hopefully we got another ten years on us.”

The two may have barely any scene together but are always in contact as they are both involved in the creative process.

“We’re on the phone all the time,” D’Onofrio said.

Cox added, “We agree on almost everything. I read the scripts first and I’ll text Vincent and he’ll be like, ‘What do you think?” And I’ll be like, ‘I’m not saying til you read it.’ And then we’ll talk about it.”

Both actors teased that Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ in March 2025.
