According to Deadline, Charisma Carpenter, known for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the Angel spinoff, is hoping her character can return in the Hulu reboot of Buffy the Vampire slayer, Carpenter portred Cordelia in both series.

Carpenter said in an interview with IGN, “I am so excited for the fans, and I know it will be fantastic because of who’s involved, to see this actually happen for fans makes me thrilled. I am so hopeful to be included, for Cordelia to be part of the is new iteration.”

According to Deadline, Carpenter portrayed Cordelia in the original series for the first three seasons. She continued the role in the Angel spinoff for an additional four seasons before being killed off in season five.

 “I don’t know what to make of it,” Carpenter Stated toDeadline. “I’m sure there are caveats-Cordelia dies on Angel not on Buffy. I don’t know what that means for Cordelia-but I am hopeful that it includes Cordelia obviously, it would be a dream to be included, and it would just be so poetic for that to occur, and for it to occur with this group.”

In the Buffy universe it is not unusual for a character to come back after they died. The writers have shown a lot of creativity and have found ways to bring characters back after they have died.  Carpenter is sure that the writers will find a way to bring Cordelia back. Sarah Michelle Geller’s(Cruel Intentions, Scooby-Doo) character as Buffy died and was brought back.

Geller stated in an interview with Vanity Fair, “We will try to find a balance between new and old characters. My dream is to bring back everyone who has died, but space will have to be made for new stories as well.”

The Buffy The Vampire Slayer Reboot is currently in development with Hulu.
