

According to an article from The Hollywood Reporter, the CBS series Ghosts has been picked back up for two more seasons, adding to the network’s streak of picking up eight other series. The shows include NCIS, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney, Elsbeth, Fire Country, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Hollywood Squares, and Tracker. All of these shows will be renewed for the 2025-2026 season so fans and audiences will be entertained nonstop.
The new renewals joined previously announced renewals such as Matlock, FBI, Survivor, and The Amazing Race. The Hollywood Reporter details some new additions to the CBS family such as the Fire Country spinoff, Sherriff Country, and Boston Blue, a spinoff of the previous popular series, Blue Bloods. Matlock and FBI acquired a multiseason order running until 2026-27.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tracker, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Elsebth, Ghosts, Fire Country, and NCIS average more than 10 million viewers across platforms.
“This season, our new and returning series continue to showcase CBS as the leader in launching and programming the biggest hits with mass appeal for broadcast and streaming viewers,” CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach told The Hollywood Reporter. “These returning shows represent a mix of long-standing hits and a new generation of fan favorites. In collaboration with our extraordinarily talented partners in front of and behind the camera, we look forward to delivering another successful season.”
The Hollywood Reporter says that CBS will announce more renewals in the coming months. The next series that could potentially be on the list include The Neighborhood, Poppa’s House, FBI: International, FBI: Most Wanted, S.W.A.T., The Equalizer, and Watson.
