Deadline reports CBS has renewed its flagship franchise, FBI, dotting the mothership series with a three-year renewal through season nine. Its successful spinoff series, Most Wanted and International, each picked up renewals for a sixth and fourth season, respectively. All three series will premiere new episodes for the 2024/25 season.
From the mind of Dick Wolf, the procedurals air during Tuesday’s primetime block, with FBI peaking as the number three best broadcast series, according to Deadline. It’s Wolf’s third franchise during the week, with NBC dishing the One Chicago series on Wednesday, and Law & Order on Thursday.
The newest series, FBI: International, stars Eva-Jane Willis (ChickLit, London Files), Luke Kleintank (The Good Neighbor, Bones), Vinessa Vidotto (Piper In The Woods), Carter Redwood (The Transfiguration, Respite), and Christina Wolfe (The Weekend Away, The Ark). Ernesto Alcalde (August Rush, Netflix’s Daredevil), Michael Katleman (Bloodhounds, Primeval), Matt Olmstead (Breakout Kings, Blind Justice), Arthur W. Forney (L&O: Trial By Jury, L&O: Criminal Intent), and Peter Jankowski (When You’re Strange, Twin Towers) join Dick Wolfe as executive producers.
FBI: Most Wanted stars former Law & Order: Organized Crime villain, Dylan McDermott (Netflix’s Hollywood), Keisha Castle-Hughs (The Almighty Johnsons, A Heavenly Vintage) Edwin Hodge (Parallel, The Purge), Shantel VanSanten (For All Mankind, Shooter), and Roxy Sternberg (It’s A Lot, Emerald City). Executive producers include Wolf, Forney, Jankowski, Terry Miller (Burn Notice, Die Hard), and McDermott.
The mothership series is led by Law & Order alum Jeremy Sisto (Suburgatory), Missy Peregrym (Stick It, Rookie Blue), Katherine Renee Kane (Wintersmith, Live a Little), John Boyd (Lady in the Water, Mercy), Alana De La Garza (Forever, Are You Here), and Zeeko Zaki (24: Legacy, SIX). Wolf, Forney, and Jankowski are joined by fellow executive producers Amanda Slater (To the Boy in the Blue Knit Cap, L&O: Criminal Intent), Joe Halpin (The Oath, Chicago P.D.), Rich Eid (The Lottery, Dark Blue), and Alex Chapple (Blue Bloods, Elementary).
Other recent renewals by the network included an early go for Fire Country’s third season, according to Deadline. The import NCIS: Sydney and Justin Hartley’s (This Is Us) Tracker were also renewed for sophomore seasons.
“The All-FBI Tuesday is a powerful force to be reckoned with on our primetime schedule,” CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach told Deadline. “Dick Wolf and the talent in front of and behind the camera on all three series continue to deliver top-notch storytelling, riveting action and intrigue that has captivated a dedicated fanbase steadily across multiple seasons. We are excited to see what next season holds for all these heroic characters.”
These renewals come on the heels of CBS announcing the series finale dates for S.W.A.T., Young Sheldon, and Bob Hearts Abishola.
