According to Deadline, the CBS show Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage has been recently renewed for third season. Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is the second spinoff series within the Big Bang franchise. The series is a sequel to the show Young Sheldon. Two years ago, mxdwn reported that the network gave the green light to a full season of 22 episodes.
Deadline noted that Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is produced by Chuck Lorre Productions with Warner Bros. Television. The show follows Georgie and Mandy, a young couple raising a family and trying to balance their adult life as they face several challenges that arise with relationships and parenting.
According to Deadline, the show features actress Emily Osment (A Very Merry Bridesmaid, A Daughter’s Nightmare) portraying Mandy and actor Montana Jordan (The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon) playing Georgie. Supporting cast includes Rachel Bay Jones (United States of AI, The Good Doctor), Will Sasso (Clown in a Cornfield, Solar Opposites), Dougie Baldwin (What Goes Around Comes Around, Feedback) and Jessie Prez (Bosch: Legacy, Abbott Elementary).
Steven Molaro (Young Sheldon, Merry Christmas, iCarly) and Steve Holland (The Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement) are the executive producers alongside Chuck Lorre (Venus on the Hard Drive, Bob Hearts Abishola). In addition to Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, mxdwn reported that CBS also renewed Tracker for fourth season, Fire Country for a fifth and reality shows Survivor and The Amazing Race.
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is the second of three spinoffs from CBS’s hit comedy, The Big Bang Theory. In addition to the single-camera family dramedy, Young Sheldon, HBO Max ordered a new series focused on supporting characters from the original show. Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is sci-fi series starring Kevin Sussman as comicbook store owner, Stuart Bloom. Lorre began developing the show in 2023.
