A trailer has been released for the crossover of the three NCIS shows, according to Deadline. This is the first time that NCIS and its spinoffs NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: Hawai’i have had a crossover. The team-up will premiere on January 9, 2023.
NCIS has had previous crossovers with NCIS: Los Angeles in which both teams work together to solve difficult cases. NCIS has also had crossovers with NCIS: New Orleans, a spinoff that ended in 2021. This is the first time that NCIS has had a crossover with all its spinoffs.
The original NCIS focuses on a group of special agents that work together to solve crimes against US military members. Over the years the team has gone through some changes seeing fan-favorite characters like Abby Sciuto, played by Pauley Perrette (Broke, Fantasy Hospital); Ziva David, played by Cote de Pablo (The Jury, Seneca); Ellie Bishop, played by Emily Wickersham (The Bridge, Glitch); and Anthony Dinozzo played by Michael Weatherly (Bull, Dark Angel), leave the team. Recently the main character and leader of the team Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon (Freaky Friday, Chasing Liberty), left the show after nineteen seasons as the leader. Of the original cast Timothy Mcgee, played by Sean Murray (Hocus Pocus, Jonesy), and Dr. Mallard “Ducky,” played by David McCallum (The Man from U.N.C.L.E, The Great Escape), remain on the show.
According to Deadline, this new crossover is going to center around a high-stakes case that turns personal when a FLETC professor, who taught multiple members of the different squads, is found dead of an apparent suicide on the eve of a celebration in his name on Washington, D.C. Now the teams have to work together to find out what happened since the former students suspect foul play. With the ongoing investigation, the special agents discover a mysterious hitman, and the more they investigate him, the bigger the danger to themselves becomes. When members of the teams start getting kidnapped, the agents must come together to take down the killer and save their colleagues and friends.
Cast members of this special crossover include Wilmer Valderrama (Encanto, Gentefied), who plays Nick Torres; Gary Cole (The Good Fight, Family Guy), who stars as Alden Parker; Vanessa Lachey (Dads, Call Me Kat) as Jane Tennant; Chris O’Donnell, who stars as Agent G. Callen; LL Cool J (Grudge Match, The Deal) as Sam Hanna; Yasmine Al-Bustami (The Chosen, Send It!) plays Lucy Tara; Noah Mills (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, The Brave) stars as Jesse Boone; and Sean Murray starring as Mcgee.
The crossover, which occurs on January 9, starts with an NCIS episode titled “Too Many Cooks,” followed by an NCIS: Hawai’i episode called “Deep Fake” and the crossover ends with an episode from NCIS: Los Angeles titled “A Long Time Coming.”
The crossover will be available to stream on Paramount+. All previous seasons of NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, and NCIS: Hawai’i are available to watch on Paramount+. Don’t forget to watch the trailer below.
