CBS picked up the comedy Good Session from Chuck alum Matt Miller and I Love You Man’s John Hamburg.
According to Deadline, CBS is adding another comedy to its haul. Good Session received a put-pilot commitment in September. The comedy focuses on a happy couple seeking a therapist’s advice on whether they should have a baby. Through their discussion they discover that there is much more that needs to be discussed.
Miller and Hamburg will write the script as well as executive produce the Warner Bros. Television comedy. Hamburg is set to direct the pilot episode.
This is Miller’s second pilot order this season. He is also teaming with Dan Lin and Jennifer Gwartz on Forever, a drama for ABC.
Hamburg’s other projects include Brother From Another Mother at Fox and The Henchman also at Fox. Miller is also producing and supervising the Fox drama Bad Guys.
Good Session will be CBS’ fifth comedy pilot this season. The other pilot orders include The McCarthys (Jim Gaffigan), Taxi-22, and How I Met Your Dad, a How I Met Your Mother spinoff.
