Cast Reunion of ‘Veep’ to Include Deleted and Other New Scenes

The HBO original comedy series Veep is reuniting via virtual table read for a fundraising event for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and will include new scenes and a season five deleted scene, according to Deadline. The special event will air on Sunday at 7 PM Eastern and will include its showrunner David Mandel alongside the returning main cast in Reid Scott (My Boys), Tony Hale (Arrested Development), Matt Walsh (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart), Clea DuVall (American Horror Story, The Handmaid’s Tale), Anna Chlumsky (My Girl, Inventing Anna), Tim Simons (The Interview), Sam Richardson (Detroiters, Champaign ILL), and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld).

Veep premiered on HBO in 2012 and ran for seven seasons amassing a total of 65 half-hour episodes. The television series followed a satirical take on the daily inner workings of the Vice President’s office through the fictional VP Selina Meyer, portrayed by Louis-Dreyfus. The comedy show garnered seventeen Primetime Emmy Awards and is one of the most critically acclaimed comedy series of all time. 

The virtual table read will feature a deleted scene from the fifth season which followed Meyer’s people creating negative ads and also showcase new material in 25 brand new jokes on Jonah, portrayed by Simons.
