According to Deadline, cast members of Paramount+’s Dexter: Resurrection appeared at San Diego Comic Con. Dexter Morgan himself, Michael C. Hall (The Gettysburg Address, Behind the Lines), returned to the convention with fellow cast members David Zayas (A Family Most Wanted, Tell No Tales), James Remar (Transformations One, Drugstore June), Jack Alcott (Blue Glass Heaven, In Love with the Pain), David Dastmalchian (The Life Of Chuck, The Last Voyage of the Demeter), and Krysten Ritter (Retreat: A Novel, Sonic the Hedgehog 3). They were accompanied by Clyde Phillips (Feed the Beast, Nurse Jackie), executive producer and showrunner.
According to Deadline, Dexter: Resurrection takes place after Morgan awakens from a coma after taking a bullet to his chest from his son, Harrison. Realizing that his son has left him, and the wrong he did to his son, Dexter ventures out to New York City to find his son and find closure by making things right. Dexter soon realizes that this is not an easy task. The two will find themselves trying to navigate through the Big Apple, only to realize they’ll need each other more than ever.
According to Deadline, the panel was moderated by Jamie Chung (Dexter: New Blood, Summons). Morgan spoke on the new faces joining this installment of the popular franchise.
“We have an ensemble of core actors and an amazing team of writers, led by the man to my right (Phillips), who mine the fertile soil of this world and capitalize on its increasing mythology. This season was an absolute blast to encounter this character, with a second chance at life, and find out what that looked like for him. That was a blast. I’m not just grateful. I can’t believe I’m back here,” Hall said via Deadline.
During the fourth episode, the panel teased that Peter Dinklage’s (Wicked: For Good, Unfrosted) character, Leon Prater, will be introduced at a dinner party exclusively for serial killers.
New episodes of Dexter: Resurrection air on Paramount+ every Friday.
