FX Network’s debut, The Beauty, is a comic book series that follows two FBI officers checking out sudden deaths via a strange virus. But it isn’t like The Walking Dead, but it might spread like one.
Comicbook.com notes that actors Evan Peters (Monster, Tron: Ares) who plays one of the FBI agents, Cooper Madsen, and Rebecca Hall (The Town, The Gift) as Jordan Bennett. Ashton Kutcher (Two and a Half Men, That ’70’s Show) runs a very shady corporation. Plus there is a mysterious Assassin played by Anthony Ramos (Hamilton, Twisters).
Agent Peters finds out that The Beauty is caught in a conspiracy around a company that threatens humanity, thriller scenes fans will enjoy, if they enjoy zombie series. Not to mention a few scenes that the actors can call back to, and remember. Specifically, one where he has to fight a stark naked sticky man and wrestle him which created a very intimate scene between two actors. Something neither one will forget.
“A lot of practice, A lot of practice,” Peters told Comicbook.com “We did a lot of MMA training and then worked with Mark Fichera and Jason Mello, our stunts team. (They) developed this really long, intricate fight sequences. And, we got to rehearsal….Well, that specific moment was not very…we didn’t have much time with that one, and he’s very slippery…But it’s just working with those guys because they’re incredible and they know what they’re doing, and I just kept at it. Just kept practicing… with slippery me…There was a little bit of a hand slip that went into a nether region, which was unfortunate for both of us, but we got through it.”
The Beauty will air its first three episodes on FX and Hulu on January 21, 2026, with the rest to be filmed very soon.
