According to Deadline, actor Casey Mills (Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, He’s Watching You) will be added to the cast of The Hunting Wives for the second season. Allegedly, he will be portraying the character Nico in at least five episodes of the Netflix series. The Hunting Wives is a Lionsgate TV-produced series that Netflix acquired from Starz. After just a few months into the first season, the series was renewed. The reps from Netflix and Lionsgate declined to comment about Mills’ character.
The Hunting Wives is created by Rebecca Cutter (Code Black, Boston Blue) and is based on the bestselling novel by May Cobb (Big Woods, A Likable Woman), according to Deadline. Where season one ended is where season two will premiere, with the characters Sophie and Margo, played by Matlin Akerman (Perfectly Imperfect, Singing in My Sleep) and Brittany Snow (Murdaugh: Death in the Family, Kid Cudi: Neverland), on the outs. However, the duo will reunite to combat old secrets and new enemies. Season two will develop a whole new storyline not found in the source material.
Deadline mentions Mills recently appeared in F*cktoys, a film that premiered at SXSW and won a Special Jury Award. Plus, he just wrapped production on the J. Casey Modderno directorial debut, Here for the Weekend, which is produced by the talented Will Ferrell (A Very Jonas Christmas Movie, You’re Cordially Invited) and Jessica Elbaum (You’re Cordially Invited, No Good Deed) with Gloria Sanchez Productions. Mills’ past television credits include As We See It and Nashville, with guest spots on shows like Swarn and Lucifer.
Mills is repped by Buchwald, talent Manager Ran Aubrey Frazier, and STW Talent.
In a previous post on mxdwn, season two of The Hunting Wives welcomes John Stamos (Drag, Celebrity), Dale Dickey (Kissyfoot, Rated) and Cam Gigandet (Briefcase, On The Hunt) as members of the cast.
