Cartoon Network Studios is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and they’ve got big plans that are sure to please fans, according to Comicbook.com. A special panel will be making an appearance at the upcoming Annecy International Animation Film Festival this June.

According to Comicbook.com, the festival will feature legendary panelists like Genndy Tartakovsky (Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack), Craig McCracken (The Powerpuff Girls, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends), Pendleton Ward (Adventure Time, The Midnight Gospel), Rebecca Sugar (Steven Universe, Adventure Time), J.G. Quintel (Regular Show, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack), and Adam Muto (Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake, Steven Universe).

Cartoon Network Studios has undergone some major changes under Warner Bros. Animation in recent years that have worried long-time fans of the network, but this exciting panel is sure to bring back some of the nostalgia from Cartoon Network’s most recognizable hits.

Nostalgia seems to be the name of the game for the network going forward, according to Comicbook.com. Several new, yet nostalgic products are in the works, including Powerpuff Girls and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends reboots, new Adventure Time movie, as well as the second season of Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake

Fans can expect to see new content based on Cartoon Network’s iconic IPs on the network and streaming on Max in the near future. And while the trajectory of the network may look a bit different, after the shutdown of their official website and the closure of the original Cartoon Network building, rest assured, Cartoon Network will continue on, just with a slightly different look, according to Comicbook.com.

The 49th edition of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, founded in June 1960, is taking place in Annecy, France, from June 8th to June 14th, 2025. Attending the festival is, unfortunately, the only way to catch this legendary panel.
