Campus Carnage: ‘Gen V’ Producer Gives Tantalizing Promise That Season Two Will Up The Ante

The highly popular spinoff series, Gen V, has just received major news from series creator Eric Kripke (Supernatural, Timeless). According to Comicbook, the spinoff series follows the journey of numerous superhero students which include Marie, played by Jaz Sinclair (Slender Man, Paper Towns), Jordan, played by London Thor (Lady Bird, Shameless)/Derek Luh (Shining Vale, Runaways) and Emma, played by Lizze Broadway (The Inhabitant, Ghosted).

Kripke announced in an interview with Comicbook and stated,“Okay #GenV update! Eps are done editing, doing music, sound & VFX now. Finishing up the first trailer. Trailer drop & date announcement coming soon. (I think this season is better than S1 & will be worth the wait).” He goes on to give an update post on his official X page, which shows Sinclair in a photoshoot promoting the show with her fingers in the letter “V.”

According to Comicbook, the finale ended with the gang being taken by Homelander, played by Antony Starr (Cobweb, Banshee), to a mysterious room after their battle with Cate, played by Maddie Phillips (Ghost Wars, Summerland), and Sam, played by Asa Germann (Scream 7, Monsters). Fans also get a quick cameo by none other than Billy Butcher, played by Karl Urban (Star Trek, Thor: Ragnarok).

According to Comicbook, the production for Gen V season two was postponed due to the passing of the late Chance Perdomo (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Midsomer Murders), who had played Andre in the series.. While the team has been impacted by this loss, they will try to navigate and address it within the new season. According to mxdwn, the second season will have seven new additions, which will consist of Keeya King (Yellowjackets, Van Helsing), Stephen Thomas Kalyn (Transplant, Cascade), and Tait Fletcher (The Mandalorian, Breaking Bad).

While fans await the release of the highly anticipated second season, the entire first season of Gen V, as well as all current seasons of The Boys, are available to stream on Prime Video.
