For what could be Pretty Little Liars final season, a familiar face is returning to Rosewood. According to Variety, Brant Daugherty, who played Noel Kahn, is returning to the show.
Viewers first were introduced to Noel in the first season of the show, where he was a troublemaker classmate of Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Aria (Lucy Hale), Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Ali’s (Sasha Pieterse). The girls were unsure if they could trust him and didn’t know if he played a part in Ali’s disappearance.
Noel was last seen in a fifth season episode where he was working with Ali (who was found alive after being kidnapped) and the other girls were still unsure if they could trust him, with Spencer going as far as blackmailing him to make sure he’d stay away.
As it always is with Pretty Little Liars, details about Daugherty’s return and what Noel’s storyline is going to be aren’t being released at the time.
But will fans of the show be able to trust Noel? That’s to be determined. But when it comes to people in Rosewood, can you trust anyone?
Daugherty isn’t the only familiar face returning to Pretty Little Liars this season. Tammin Sursok, who plays Jenna Marshall, is also returning to the show, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The show is also getting some new blood in Nicholas Gonzalez, who’s going to play a new cop in town. Maybe his character will actually be able to solve who’s been torturing the girls for all the years they’ve been in Rosewood, especially since they can barely trust any of the cops that are a part of the Rosewood Police Department as it is.
This season, Marlene King, the creator of the show, has said this is going to be the most romantic season of the show and that viewers should expect to see a lot of familiar faces returning to the show.
“There’s a lot of great people coming back. We’re calling it our season of homecomings, and there are a lot of old faces that are going to feel like new faces when we see them again this year,” King said.
And in terms of the season being its most romantic season yet, King seems to be holding true to that promise as she tweeted that there will be a wedding in the upcoming season.
Besides his role on Pretty Little Liars, Daugherty has appeared in episodes of Days of our Lives, Army Wives and Anger Management. He also appeared in a spoof movie of The Hunger Games, which was entitled The Starving Games and he’s also set to appear in Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed. Daugherty was also a contestant on Dancing With The Stars in 2013, where he placed seventh.
Pretty Little Liars seventh season premieres on Tuesday, June 21 at 8 p.m. on Freeform.
