Bounce TV network has announced they now have the broadcasting rights for popular game shows American Bible Challenge and Catch 21, as reported by Indiewire.
Both game shows were acquired from GSN and are set to debut on Bounce TV later this summer. The announcement was made by Jonathan Katz, executive vice president of Bounce TV.
American Bible Challenge, hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy is the highest-rated original series in GSN history, according to Yahoo!. The game show consists of teams competing for prize money for a charity of their choice, using their knowledge of the Bible.
Alfonso Ribeiro, otherwise known as Carlton from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, is the host of the popular game show Catch 21. The show is based upon the popular card game where players are dealt cards and attempt to reach 21 without going over. On the show, contestants must answer questions correctly in order to be dealt a card.
Another recent program Bounce TV picked up is the Newlywed Game, which is hosted by Sherri Shepard of the View. Katz commented on the reception of the program saying, “After only a few weeks on the air, the Newlywed Game is already an audience favorite and stellar performer, consistently delivering key demos of scale to Bounce TV,” as reported by Yahoo!.
Katz went on to say, “We are very confident that the broadcast premieres of the American Bible Challenge and Catch 21 will add fuel to Bounce TV’s skyrocketing growth,” noted by Indiewire.
