Bob Saget was found dead at 65 today at a Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, hotel security officers found him at 4:00 PM ET and was pronounced dead at the scene. A cause of death has not been given, but the Sheriff’s Department reports that no foul play or drug use was detected.
Saget had been touring the country lately doing comedy shows. He started this tour in September and was supposed to go into May. Saturday night he was in Jacksonville and was slated to do a show today in Orlando.
“I had no idea I did a two hour set tonight,” Saget tweeted about his Jacksonville show. “I’m happily addicted again to this.”
Saget of course is most notable for his eight year tenure on Full House as the patriarch Danny Tanner. He later reprised this role in the hit reboot, Fuller House, on Netflix. As of right now his cast mates from the show have not posted their reactions to this somber news on their social media platforms, but other notable comedians have taken to Twitter to pay their respects to the comedy icon.
Still in shock. I just spoke with Bob a few days ago. We stayed on the phone as usual making each other laugh. RIP to friend, comedian & fellow Aristocrat Bob Saget. pic.twitter.com/TDKT8JoULq

Saget will also be remembered for his long hosting tenure as the face of America’s Funniest Home Videos. What may have surprised fans most about the epitome of TV dads was his famously raunchy and R-rated sense of humor at his stand up shows.
Saget is survived by his wife, Kelly Rizzo, and his three children.
