Exciting news have arisen in the sci-fi world with a return of a classic series returning which needed four years ago. Reported by Comicbook, the series in question is The Orville, which follows a motley and diverse crew traversing the galaxy and encountering new life forms. The series first started out a a homepage as a parody to Star Trek, but slowly started becoming its own type of series. Additionally, the series had wonderful cast which includes Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy, American Dad), Scott Grimes (Ted, Robin Hood) and Adrianne Palicki (John Wick, Red Dawn).
MacFarlane goes on to give an update in an interview with Comicbook,”The 10 scripts are done.” He further continues with his statement,“I’m the problem. It’s [a matter of] when I can make that my year, with all the other stuff we have in the works. But we can hit the ground running when it happens.” The statement shows that the season is currently at a halt due to McFarlane’s busy scheduled with his multiple projects. He added that Hulu is prepared to begin production as soon as a schedule is finalized.
The new season will surely introduced new species to the crew and dangerous challenges that they must try to overcome. Stated by Comicbook, the last time on The Orville ended on a happier note with the focus being the wedding of Dr. Issac, played by Mark Jackson (The Teacher, Eddie) and Dr. Claire, played by Penny Johnson Jerald (Castle, Media).
Reports confirm the core cast will reprise their roles in a production scaled to match the caliber of its predecessor. While waiting on the exciting release and plot of the fourth season, the previous seasons of The Orville are available to stream on Hulu. This new season promises to deliver the same balance comedy, action and emotion that the series is known for.
