Billy Eichner To Join ‘Parks and Recreation’

Parks and Recreation continues to lay a trail of bread crumbs, dropping news of each Eagleton doppleganger to Pawnee’s Parks and Recreation department, building anticipation for season six’s Eagleton-Pawnee plot that will span several episodes.

TVLine has learned that Billy Eichner, host of Fuse’s Billy on the Street, will play the counterpart to the self-treating, Mercedes-loving Donna.

“He’s one of the funniest human beings I have ever seen in my entire life,” said executive producer Mike Schur, “and he’s Donna’s Eagleton doppelganger.”

The “joint venture” Schur calls it, will let viewers meet the Pawnee’s rivals. “If you were in the Eagleton Parks Department, what would it look like? We wanted to show that world,” Schur said.

This has been the third revealing of the Eagleton bizarro cast, Eichner joining Kristen Bell (Leslie Knope’s counterpart) and Sam Elliott (as Ron Swanson’s). Though Schur is still searching for an April Ludgate Eagleton double, Tom Haverford’s twin will be kept a secret. “Tom’s doppelganger is a spoiler,” Schur said. “It’s not who the actor is – it’s the concept behind it.”
