Bill Nye To Appear On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

TV will be welcoming back Bill Nye not for his fun-filled scientific explanations but to slip on his dancing shoes for Dancing With The Stars Season 17, according to The Huffington Post.

Nye is credited with hosting the PBS Kids syndicated series that lasted for 100 episodes spanning five years starting in 1993. The series produced 19 Emmys during its life span. Each episode concentrated on specific scientific topic, according to The Huffington Post.

Nye kept himself busy after the end of the show in 1998, serving as a technical expert on BattleBots, appearing on Numb3rs and providing for The Weather Channel. Nye was awarded an honorary doctorate from Johns Hopkins University in 2008, according to The Huffington Post.
