According to AMC Networks, Breaking Bad star Betsy Brandt is officially joining the cast of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches as a series regular for season three. Brandt, best known for her role as “Marie Schrader,” will take on the new character “Katherine.” AMC confirmed that production has already begun in Vancouver, Canada, marking another exciting chapter for the Anne Rice Immortal Universe.

AMC Networks reports that the upcoming season will dive deeper into the lore of witchcraft and explore new spellbound families along with the eerie legacy of Salem, Massachusetts. The network teased that fans can expect more supernatural intrigue and rich character development. Returning cast members include Alexandra Daddario (True Detective, White Lotus), Harry Hamlin (L.A. Law, Mad Men), Tongayi Chirisa (iZombie, Palm Springs), and Alyssa Jirrels (Fatal Attraction, Saved by the Bell), all of whom will continue their roles as the Mayfair family faces new mystical challenges and dark revelations.

As AMC Networks explains, the series continues under the creative direction of executive producer Mark Johnson (Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad) who also oversees the entire Anne Rice Immortal Universe for the network. Co-showrunners Esta Spalding (Masters of Sex, Battle Creek) and Thomas Schnauz (Breaking Bad, The X-Files) return alongside producers Michelle Ashford (The Pacific, Masters of Sex) and Tom Williams (Castle Rock, The Son), ensuring the show maintains its signature balance of gothic horror and emotional storytelling.

AMC Networks also highlights Brandt’s impressive television career. In addition to Breaking Bad, she appeared in Life in Pieces, The Michael J. Fox Show, and AMC’s own Soulmates, earning a Critics Choice nomination. She has also starred in the thriller Run Sweetheart Run and produced The Bad Orphan for Lifetime.

AMC Networks notes that Mayfair Witches remains one of the most-watched series on AMC+ and continues to expand the Immortal Universe, which includes Interview with the Vampire and Talamasca: The Secret Order. With Betsy Brandt’s arrival, AMC promises an even more spellbinding third season.
