‘Bedtime Stories’ With Ryan Reynolds Will Air On Nick Jr.

According to Deadline, Nickelodeon has picked up Bedtime Stories with host Ryan Reynolds (John Candy: I Like Me, Once Upon a Deadpool). Bedtime Stories with Ryan is a live-action series featuring Reynolds as he reads classic bedtime stories that come to life around him. With a playful, imaginative and warm environment, this series will be an amazing experience for kids and their parents to view. The 10-episode series will air on the Nick Jr. channel from March 2-13 from 9-9:30 PM.

Deadline also mentions that Reynolds’ production company, Maximum Effort, is backing the series. It’s also the company behind films such as Free Guy, The Adam Project, Welcome to Wrexham, and the Deadpool films.

In a 2023 Variety article, Reynolds discussed first bringing the series to Fubo, saying, “We’re so happy to create a program with the express goal of putting people to sleep. This show has actually been a dream of mine for a while. Story time is a nighttime staple in our home and is a daily reminder of the power of storytelling.” The series ran for 15 episodes on the Fubo platform.

According to Deadline, Bedtime Stories with Ryan was created by Reynolds and George Dewey (John Candy: I Like Me, Welcome to Wrexham). The first season was directed by Vincent Peono (Green Beret’s Guide to Surviving the Apocalypse, The Testament of Ann Lee) with Maximum Effort’s Kelly Girth (John Candy: I  Like Me), Kevin Hill (The Syd + TP Show, The House From…) and Victoria Shamshoyan (John Candy: I Like Me, Welcome to Wresham) named as executive producers.

In association with Fubo Studios with ArtClass and Loon Productions, Deadline reports  Pamela Duckworth (Suit Up, The 1992 Billboard Music Awards) and David Gandler (Discontinued) are executive producers for the series. Sleeping At Last is the company that will produce all the music.
