‘Baywatch’ Reboot Starring Stephen Amell Sets January Premiere Date At Fox

Fox has set a premiere date for its upcoming Baywatch reboot. According to Deadline, the new series will premiere Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 9 p.m.

The series will mark the first time since 2024 that Fox has scheduled scripted programming on Wednesday nights. While the network has not yet announced its complete midseason schedule, The Masked Singer is expected to remain in the 8 p.m. timeslot and serve as a lead-in to Baywatch.

The new Baywatch stars Stephen Amell (Arrow, Heels, Code 8) as Hobie Buchannon, the son of original character Mitch Buchannon, played by David Hasselhoff (Kung Fury, Knight Rider 2000, Click). Now serving as a Baywatch captain, Hobie follows in his father’s footsteps until his life changes when his daughter, Charlie Vale, arrives hoping to continue the Buchannon family legacy.

Jessica Belkin (American Horror Story, Pretty Little Liars, The Orville) stars as Charlie. The new Baywatch team also includes Hassie Harrison (Yellowstone, Tacoma FD, The Iron Orchard) as Nat, Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars, You, Dollface) as Trina, Thaddeus LaGrone (Mr. Irrelevant) as Brad, Noah Beck (Sidelined: The QB and Me, Squire for Hire) as Luke and Brooks Nader (Backtrace) as Selene.

Livvy Dunne (Baywatch) will make her acting debut in a recurring role as Grace. David Chokachi (Witchblade, Beyond the Break, Soul Surfer) will also recur, reprising his role as Cody Madison from the original Baywatch series.

The reboot will feature the rescues, relationships and beachside action associated with the original series while introducing a new cast and contemporary storylines set along the beaches of Los Angeles.

Baywatch is co-produced by Fox Entertainment Studios and Fremantle. Matt Nix (Burn Notice, The Gifted, The Good Guys) serves as showrunner and executive producer. McG (Uglies, Terminator Salvation, The Babysitter: Killer Queen), Michael Berk (Baywatch, Baywatch Nights, The Wizard), Greg Bonann (Baywatch, Baywatch Nights, She Spies), Doug Schwartz (Left Behind, Fire with Fire, Get Carter), Dante Di Loreto (Glee, The Normal Heart, Kill Jackie) and Mike Horowitz (Baywatch) also executive produce, with McG directing the series premiere.

Baywatch will premiere Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
