Deadline has reported that the Baywatch reboot will be getting a few new faces to guard the shores of Los Angeles. Hassie Harrison (Yellowstone, Hart Of Dixie) has been cast as a series regular in the new series from Fox and Fremantle. Harrison will play Nat, a foster child turned to Olympian and best friend of the main character Hobie Buchannon, played by Stephen Amell (Arrow, Suits LA). From humble beginnings, she represents the true spirit of Baywatch. That drive that got her to her station is a standard in which she holds everyone in her life.
According to Deadline, Harrison’s casting comes on the heels of another casting. Thaddeus LaGrone (The Land, Mr. Irrelevant) will also be joining Baywatch as another series regular. Other cast members include Jessica Belkin (Elle, The Hunting Wives) and Charlie Vale. David Chokachi (Soul Surfer, Baywatch) will reprise his original role as Cody Madison.
Deadline has reported that the Baywatch series is scheduled for the 2026-2027 pilot season. The series is set to be a crucial production coming back to Los Angeles. Baywatch follows Hobie, who finds himself marinating the family legacy as captain of the Baywatch. Hobie’s daughter, Charlie, will unexpectedly show up on the shores of Los Angeles, seeking to join her father in the maritime rescue business.
According to Deadline, the original series debuted in 1989, with Jeremy Jackson in the lead role as Hobie. After 11 seasons, Baywatch found itself in the annals of silver screen greatness as one of the most-watched series of all time. The series helped launch the careers of many future household names, including Pamela Anderson (The Last Showgirl, Home Improvement), Yasmine Bleeth (Titans, Hidden War), Carmen Electra (Scary Movie, Epic Movie), David Hasselhoff (Knight Rider, Ze Network), and Jason Momoa (Aquaman, See). The series is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle. Burn Notice writer Matt Nix will serve as show runner and executive producer.
