Deadline reports that along with the many other cast members like Jessica Belkin (Singing in my sleep, Sleeping with My Student), Stephen Amell (The Borderlines, Little Lorraine), David Chokachi (Escape From Paradise, In Dog We Trust), and Matt Nix (Burn Notice, The Gifted), Noah Beck (Sidelined: The QB and Me, Larray: Canceled) has joined the new Baywatch reboot. Beck is known for acting in Tubi’s YA romance Sideline.
According to Deadline, Beck’s character, Luke, is a novice lifeguard from a family of firefighters who chose to save lives from waves rather than flames. Luke is a typical Californian guy, a beach boy who surfs and flirts. But when he has to be serious and save a life, he can really do it! While young, Luke has growing to do, mostly with Hobie Buchannon, his mentor and second father, played by Amell.
Other previously announced cast members include Hassie Harrison (The Iron Orchard, Dangerous Animals), who plays Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone (Mr. Irrelevant, The Land), who plays Brad, and Brooks Nader (Love Thy Nader, Formula 1), who plays Selene, according to Deadline.
Baywatch is set to premiere during the 2026-2027 season and will begin filming in Los Angeles this spring, Deadline reports. The show will carry on with Hobie as the Baywatch captain following his father, Mitch’s, legacy. However, his world is turned topsy-turvy when his daughter, Charlie, tries to take on the legacy. The original show premiered in 1989 with Jeremy Jackson (Ring of Darkness, DTLA) playing Hobie. The original series had 11 seasons and became the most-watched show in over 200 countries. At one time, Baywatch acquired over a billion viewers per week. The series starred David Hasselhoff (Knight Rider, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2), Pamela Anderson (The Naked Gun, Scary Movie 3), Carmen Electra (Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie), Jason Momoa (Minecraft Movie, Chief of War), and Yasmine Bleeth (BASEketball, Nash Bridges).
