Anna Benson, wife of the former Mets pitcher Kris Benson was arrested Monday, July 8 on felony charges of assault and possession of a weapon. Anna Benson allegedly broke into her husband’s apartment in Atlanta (while wearing a bullet proof vest) and tried to rob him at gunpoint. She was also in possession of a metal baton and threatened to beat him.
Kris Benson reported to the cops that he was able to talk her into leaving on the promise of giving her some money, and then once safe called the police. Kris Benson filed for divorce last year from his wife. She was arrested and charged on two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon, one count of criminal trespassing, as well as one count of possession of a weapon with criminal intent.
Anna Benson met Kris while she was a dancer at an Atlanta strip club. She was a former model and done a topless spread for Penthouse. Shortly after 2005, Benson filed for divorce after she caught the pitcher cheating with one of their mutual friends. This was after she threatened on the Howard Stern show to have sex with all of his Orioles team mates if she was to ever find something out of the such.
Baseball Wives aired on VH1 where she starred before the show got the boot. Too bad they did not stick around for this.
