Though CBS announced its Fall schedule last week, the network has added another series to its lineup, Entertainment Weekly reports. Bad Teacher, a single-camera comedy based on the 2011 film of the same name, has been given a 13-episode order.
Ari Graynor, best known for her roles in films such as “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” and “For A Good Time, Call…” plays the lead role of Meredith Davis. Described as “always inappropriate, fearless and unapologetic,” Meredith becomes a teacher in hopes of finding a new husband to support her after a divorce leaves her penniless.
The series also stars Sara Gilbert (the Talk), Kristin Davis (Sex and the City), David Alan Grier (In Living Color) and Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars).
Bad Teacher will likely debut at mid-season.
