‘Bad Boys’ spin-off ‘LA’s Finest’ Season 2 Premiere Postponed

LA’s Finest, the police drama and Bad Boys movie spin-off that stars Gabrielle Union (Bring It On, 10 Things I Hate About You) and Jessica Alba (Fantastic 4, Sin City, Machete), has postponed the premiering of their second season to an unspecified date later this year, via Variety. The season was originally set to air tonight, June 8th, but it is now included on Fox’s Fall 2020 lineup.

The show follows the story of DEA agent Syd Burnett (portrayed by Gabrielle Union), who moves from Miami to Los Angeles and is partnered up with Nancy McKenna (portrayed by Jessica Alba), a working mother. The show showcases them as an odd couple, but working together eventually leads them to becoming a closer team.

Strangely, the show’s Instagram does not reference Season 2’s postponement at all. It’s most recent post (from May 28th) is simply a promo clip for the second season. Fans in the comments seem to have been heavily anticipating the second season. One commenter says, “You’re taking too long to air it!”, while another says, “Yessssssss… Been ready, since last year💛💛💛💛💛.

Unfortunately, fans are going to have to wait even longer for LA’s Finest to air.

There seems to be, however, another way in which fans can watch the show at the time that they were promised. Viewers can watch the first episodes of LA’s Finest on June 8th on Spectrum TV’s streaming platform, called Spectrum Originals. Twitter also doesn’t explicitly mention the postponement, but both the Instagram and the Twitter say that LA’s Finest can be found “exclusively” on Spectrum Originals.

Also, Spectrum Originals’ streaming platform states “Season 2 Coming Soon” under LA’s Finest‘s page. Regrettably, in order to watch, the viewer must have Spectrum TV, so fans of the show must choose between purchasing Spectrum TV and waiting until the show airs on Fox in the fall.

Although most replies to the Tweet above are raving with excitement, one Twitter user did notice the fact that most people still wouldn’t have access to the show:

In the end, no matter how disappointed the fans may become, the second season of LA’s Finest will eventually air and be available to everyone.
