The highly upcoming thriller series, Dexter Resurrection has received major update within the casting. According to Deadline, Krysten Ritter (Sonic the Hedgehog 3), known for her role in Jessica Jones and Breaking Bad has been announced to be going the cast for the upcoming thriller series. Along with Ritter, the other members of the follow up series that have been confirmed are David Zayas (Skyline), Uma Thurman (Kill Bill), Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) and many more, whose role have yet to be announced.
The series will continue the journey of forensic analyst/ serial vigilante, Dexter, played by Michael C. Hall (Paycheck), and follows from the events fro. the previous series, New Blood and Original Sin. According to mxdwn, even thought we’ll will see the returning of iconic characters from previous seasons, the one major character not returning will be Debra Morgan, played by Jennifer Carpenter (Quarantine).
According to Deadline, the actress has excited fans with a post on her instagram page with the caption ‘NYC bound baby’ and simultaneously this also occurred during the production of Daredevil:Born Again. Marvel’s executive’s Brad Winderbaum (Thor: Ragnarok) made a comment on the post about bring back other characters from The Defenders back into future projects, like they have done with Charlie Cox (Echo) as Daredevil.
With a star studded cast, Dexter Resurrection is shaping up to be a great addition to the franchise. It will surely be filled with mystery and action that will keep new and old viewers alike on the edge of their seats.
According to Deadline, the series is scheduled fora summer launched date and will be streaming on Paramiount+. While fans of the Dexter franchise await on further information surrounding the exact date, all previous installments are available to stream on the same platform, as well as others such as Netflix and Pluto TV.
