Avatar: Seven Havens is the highly anticipated follow-up to The Legend of Korra. With its premiere date, October 9, just two weeks away, the franchise has chosen to reveal the name of its first season alongside the first three episodes of the series on Instagram.
The first season of the series will officially be titled “Book 1: Survival”, while the first three episodes of the series will be titled “Chapter One: On the Horizon”, “Chapter Two: Into the Storm”, and “Chapter Three: The Order”, respectively. Summaries and synopses were not provided for the episodes. It has long been tradition for series under the Avatar Legends brand to title their seasons as a “Book”, while referring to their episodes as “Chapters”. It appears that Avatar: Seven Havens, despite its differences from previous series, will continue on with this tradition.
Avatar: Seven Havens represents a departure for the Avatar Legends brand. The series is set after a global cataclysm has wiped out the Four Nations, forcing the remainder of humanity to shelter within the titular seven havens. As a result of the cataclysm, which most humans and spirits believe to have been caused by Avatar Korra, the Avatar is viewed as the destroyer of humanity and is a hunted fugitive.
The new Avatar is a young girl named Pavi, a 9-year-old girl who’s missing a leg. Her companion, Jae, discovers that she is the long-lost Avatar, and their journey begins from there. Other characters joining the fray include Pavi’s twin sister Nisha, an Airbender named Captain Karthik, and a young Waterbender named Daemin. The story begins in one of the seven havens known as Ellora City, a metropolis hidden away inside cliffs in order to shelter the city from the dangerous conditions plaguing the world at this time.
