British broadcaster ITV is bringing Australian comedy drama Sunny Nights, starring Will Forte (BodkinThe Great North) and D’Arcy Carden (The Good PlaceBarry) to the UK, Deadline reports.

Sunny Nights is exactly the type of unique content that our audiences will enjoy; we can’t wait to introduce our viewers to this darkly funny series when it launches on ITVX in 2026,” said Darren Nartey, Head of Acquisitions at ITV, per Deadline.

The series is led by director and executive producer Trent O’Donnell (Colin From AccountsGuilty Party) and centers on a brother-sister duo who run a spray-tan start up in Sydney, hoping to turn their business into a multi-million dollar enterprise, according to Deadline.

Per Deadline, Forte plays by-the-book American Martin Marvin as he joins forces with his reckless sister Vicki, played by Carden. Together the two run afoul of a ruthless gangster while trying to grow their business and avoid the law.

Also appearing in supporting roles are Rachel House (Thor: Ragnarok), Jessica De Gouw (The Couple Next Door), Miritana Hughes (Preacher), Ra Chapman (Wentworth), Megan Wilding (Mystery Road: Origin). In addition, Colin From Accounts star Patrick Brammal makes a special appearance, reports Deadline.

The eight-episode program, produced by O’Donnel’s Jungle Entertainment and Beverly Hills-based Echo Lake Entertainment, is an original for Australian streamer Stan, with Cineflix Rights heading distribution, according to Deadline.

Executive Producer Tom Misselbrook notes that British viewers are already familiar with Forte and Carden via The Four Seasons and Nobody Wants This, making the series a good match for ITV. “Together with the incredibly talented Trent O’Donnell, the outstanding showrunner and director of so many much-loved series like Colin from Accounts and Hacks, they’ve created a wonderfully funny dark crime series. We are thrilled to be partnering with ITV to bring Sunny Nights to UK audiences,” he told Deadline.

Deadline notes that given the momentum from the acquisition, Cineflix will be eager to market the series to more carriers at this year’s MIPCOM trade show in Cannes, where television execs will be readily awaiting fresh content for the new year.
