The FX’s three Emmy-awarded sitcom Archer is an American adult animated Hulu series recently renewed for a 13th season, anticipated to premiere on Wednesday, August 24th at 10/9c on FXX according, to TVInsider. The creator Adam Reed (American voice actor, animator, screenwriter, television producer, and director well known for creating the Frisky Dingo), takes viewers on the adventure of Sterling Archer. The latter is one of the world’s deadliest spies. He and his seven colleagues sabotage one another’s missions and daily lives for fun.
In Season 12, the last aired season of Archer, Archer and his colleagues (Lana Kane, Cheryl Tunt, Cyril Figgis, Pam Poovey, Ray Gillette, and Algernop Krieger) have saved the world from a nuclear catastrophe. The team then goes through the season, taking on team-building exercises and missions. The season ends with Archer trapped inside the International Intelligence Agency (another spy group) headquarters. Season 13 will pick up where Season 12 left off on the mission to compete against the competing spy agency for Archer’s independence as an individual spy alongside his colleagues.
Sterling Archer is voiced by H. Jon Benjamin, who was popularly featured in Bob’s Burgers and The Bob’s Burgers Movie. His colleagues, who have been voiced by Aisha Tyler (Whose Line Is It Anyway?), Judy Greer (13 Going on 30), Chris Parnell (Rick and Morty), Amber Nash (Frisky Dingo), Adam Reed, and Lucky Yates (Frisky Dingo), are being accompanied by a voice guest cast in Season 13. The new cast includes Kenan Thompson, famous for Kenan & Kel. Thompson will be considered fundamental in gaining a broader audience for Archer because of those who were fond of him on the Kenan & Kel show. Alongside Thompson, others who will broaden Archer’s audience include Alison Pill (Star Trek: Picard), Christian Slater (Heathers), Kayvan Novak (Fonejacker), and Stephen Tobolowsy (Grounghog Day) according, to TVInsider.
With Season 13 premiering towards the end of August, a trailer has yet to be released for the upcoming season. Active or new viewers of the series should keep an eye out for possible promos that FXX will release in the upcoming weeks. However, the upcoming reason has been reported to have eight episodes with a runtime of approximately 30 minutes each via WebNewsObserver.
Regardless of the unknown plot of Season 13 of Archer, the comedy will continue to produce a series that plays upon humorous yet simultaneously intelligent missions of those involved in Sterling Archer’s spy adventures.
