

According to Deadline, Rome Flynn (Godfather of Harlem, How to Get Away with Murder), Sherri Saum (Good Trouble, The Fosters), and Ana Ortiz (Devious Maids, Ugly Betty) are set to join stars and executive producers Elisabeth Moss (The Invisible Man, The Handmaid’s Tale) and Kerry Washington (Scandal, Ray) in the cast of Apple+ limited series Imperfect Women. Flynn is set to play Jordan, who Deadline mentions will be Washington’s character’s love interest. Saum will play Zoe, and Ortiz will play Detective Gainz.
Deadline states that Flynn is repped by Green Talent, Weiner Management and Meyer & Downs, Saum is repped by Paradigm and Generational Entertainment, and Ortiz is repped by Gersh and manager Geordie Frey.
According to Deadline, the series is executive produced by Moss (Shining Girls, Hive) and Lindsey McManus through their production company Love & Squalor Pictures. Washington is also set as executive producer for Simpson Street accompanying Pilar Savone. Deadline also mentions that Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland, Now and Then) will executive produce and direct the pilot. Kay Oyegun (This Is Us, On the Come Up) will write and executive produce under her deal with 20th Television.
Deadline states that Imperfect Women will be adapted for TV, written, and executive produced by Annie Weisman (Physical, Desperate Housewives). The series will also be produced for Apple TV+ by 20th Television and Apple Studios. Imperfect Women is based off the novel with the same name, which is created by Araminta Hall (Everything and Nothing, Dot). According to Deadline, Hall is also set to be one of the show’s executive producers.
According to Deadline, the series follows three long-time friends who find their bond shattered by a single crime. The series will explore the complexity of guilt and retribution, and how we change to accommodate others’ feelings.
