Fresh off the announcement that it would welcome Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere universe to its ranks, Apple TV has announced its fresh new slate of series for 2026. Preview many of its upcoming projects below.
Shrinking, season three
Shrinking was the earliest 2026 premiere of Apple TV’s slate, and is currently airing on the platform. The series follows a widower and therapist played by Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, How I Met Your Mother) who attempts to heal his patients, himself, and his relationships in unorthodox ways. The series is created by Bill Lawrence( Ted Lasso, Scrubs), Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso, Thor: Love And Thunder), and Segal. It stars Segal, Harrison Ford( The Fugitive, Witness), Christa Miller (Scrubs, Cougar Town), Jessica Williams (2 Dope Queens, Booksmart), Luke Tennie (The Pitt, Nickel Boys), Michael Urie (Ugly Bett, The Decoy Bride), Lukita Maxwell (Afraid, Generation), and Ted McGinley (The Engagement Plan, Platonic). Guest stars include Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr.(New Girl, The Other Guys), Wendie Malick (Waiting…, Dream On), and Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother, Friends From College), with new additions Michael J. Fox (Back To The Future, Zootopia 2) and Jeff Daniels (The Newsroom, Dumb And Dumber).
The Last Thing He Told Me, season two
The Last Thing He Told Me’s season two is based off he First Time I Saw Him by Laura Dave (Eight Hundred Grapes, The Divorce Party), the sequel to her New York Times best seller. In season one, Hannah, played by Jennifer Garner (Elektra, 13 Going On 30) meets with old flame Owen, played by Nickolai Costa Waldo (Game Of Thrones, Shotcaller), as they attempt to reunite their family after Owen has spent years on the lam. Joining the cast for season two are Judy Greer (How I Met Your Mother, 13 Going On 30) and Rita Wilson (Runaway Bride, Now And Then). Dave created and adapted the series with Academy Award winner Josh Singer (Spotlight, Fringe).

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, season two
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is set in the universe of Kong: Skull Island and Titans. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, heroes and villains alike must travel in order to discover long-forgotten mysteries of the world. A new titan will come into play as these heroes attempt to save the world. The series stars Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing), Wyatt Russell (Thunderbolts, Broke), Anna Sawai (Shogun, Pachinko), Kiersey Clemons (Dope, The Flash), Ren Watabe (461 Days Of Bento, Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters), Mari Yamamoto (Rental Family Panchinko), Joe Tippett (American Primeval, Mare Of Eastown), and Anders Holm (Workaholics, How To Be Single).

Imperfect Women is a new series based on the novel by Araminta Hall (Everything And Nothing, Dot). Three women’s lives begin to unravel as a crime comes between the trio’s decades-long friendship. Annie Weisman (Physical, About A Boy) will helm the series as creator and showrunner. The cast includes Kate Mara (Fantastic Four, The Martian), Joel Kinnaman (The Killing, Sucide Squad), Corey Stoll (Midnight In Paris, House Of Cards), Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton, One Night In Miami), Audrey Zahn (Imperfect Women, She Dances), Jill Wagner (Splinter, Teen Wolf), Rome Flynn (How To Get Away With Murder, With Love), Sheryl Lee Ralph (Oliver Company, Abbot Elementary), Violette Linnz (Imperfect Women, Winning Time: The Rise Of The Lakers Dynasty), Indiana Elle (The Housemaid, Lessons In Chemistry), Jackson Kelly (The Pitt, Hard Miles), Keith Carradine (Nashville, Cowboys And Aliens), Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty, Devious Maids), and Wilson Bethel (Daredevil: Born Again, Generation Kill).

For All Mankind will return for a fifth season. The series is brought to you by a trio of creators, Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Star Trek: Generations), Matt Wolpert (American Crime Story, Fargo), and Ben Nedivi (The Umbrella Academy, About A Boy) . Apple TV’s description for the series is as follows: “Happy Valley has grown into a thriving colony with thousands of residents and a base for new missions that will take us even further into the solar system. But with the nations of Earth now demanding law and order on the Red Planet, friction continues to build between the people who live on Mars and their former home.”
Cast for the series includes Kinnaman, Toby Kebbell (Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes RocknRolla), Edi Gathegi (Superman, StartUp), Cynthy Wu ( Beef, Before I Fall), Coral Peña (The Post, Task), and Wrenn Schmidt (Nope, Nurremburg), alongside new series regulars Mireille Enos (World War Z, If I Stay), Costa Ronin (The Americans, Homeland), Sean Kaufman (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Walker), Ruby Cruz (Bottoms, Castle Rock), and Ines Asserson (Royalteen, Shetland).
Your Friends And Neighbors, season two
Your Friends And Neighbors will return for both a second and third season. The series was renewed ahead of its season two premiere. Starring and executive produced by Jon Hamm (Mad Men, Tag), Andrew “Coop” Cooper begins to burglarize his affluent neighbor’s home only to find himself wading deeper into a web of secrets. The series is created by Jonathan Tropper (Banshee, The Adam Project), and in addition to Hamm stars Amanda Peet (2012, Identity) Olivia Munn (The Newsroom, New Girl), Hoon Lee (Warrior, Banshee), Mark Tallman (First Wives Club, State Of Affairs), Lena Hall (Snowpiercer, Girls), Aimee Carrero (The Menu, The Last Witch Hunter), Eunice Bae (Fallout, Blue Bloods), Isabel Gravitt (Dead Sea, Little Fires Everywhere), and Donovan Colan (Theatre Camp Sprit Halloween), . James Mardsen (Westworld, X-Men) will join the cast for this upcoming season.

Margot’s Got Money Trouble
Margot’s Got Money Trouble created by Emmy winner David E. Kelley (The Practice, Big Little Lies), follows Elle Fanning’s (Super 8, The Neon Demon) Margot as she attempts to make her way as a writer. Her parents did not follow similarly intellectual career paths as her father, played by Nick Offerman (Parks And Recreation, The Last Of Us), was a pro wrestler and her mother, played by Michelle Pfeiffer (The Fabolous Baker Boys, Hairspray), is an ex-hooter’s girl. Margot must battle ever-mounting financial pressure and the struggles of new motherhood as she tries to achieve her dreams.
Criminal Record, season two
June, played by Cush Cumbo (The Good Fight, Torchwood) , will struggle against both politics and her own morals in season two of Criminal Records. After an accidental death at a political rally, June, racked with guilt, must find the culprit in order to clear her conscience. June must enlist the help of Daniel, played by Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who, World War Z), a mysterious figure who may have the answers she needs.
Widow’s Bay
Played by Matthew Rhys (The Americans, Burnt), Mayor Tom Liftis must attempt to bring his small island town off the coast of New England into the 21st century. Hampered by a lack of technological infrastructure and locals who believe the island is cursed, Loftis will try to transform this dot in the Atlantic into a premier tourist destination. Much to his dismay, the curse is real. Joining Rhys in the cast of this horror comedy are Kate O’Flynn (Happy Go Lucky, Bridget Jones Baby), Stephen Root (Barry, Dodgeball), Kingston Rumi Southwick (Presumed Innocent, 56 Days), Kevin Carroll (Blindspotting, Roadhouse), and Dale Dickey (Hell Or High Water, Iron Man 3).

Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed
Maixium Pleasure Guaranteed is a new half-hour dark comedy thriller from David J. Rosen (Hunters, Invasion) . The series description is as follows: “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed follows newly divorced mom Paula, who falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer. Convinced she witnessed a murder — while simultaneously struggling through a custody battle and an identity crisis — Paula begins her own investigation, one that could unravel a greater conspiracy while also holding the keys to rebuilding her family and sense of self. Cape Fear
2026 will see the adaptation of legendary auteur Martin Scorsese’s (Taxi Driver, Goodfellas) Cape Fear to the small screen. Javier Bardem (No Country For Old Men, Skyfall) will play Max Cady, a recently released convict who seeks vengeance against the attorneys who tried his case. Anna and Tom Bowden, played by Amy Adams (Arrival, Enchanted) and Patrick Wilson (Insidious, Watchmen) respectively, will see their idyllic lives upended as Cady comes for their head. The series is created by Nick Antosca (The Act, Channel Zero). Scorses and Steven Spielberg (Jaws, Jurassic Park), the creative team behind the original masterpiece, will join as executive producers.
Sugar, season two
Sugar is a mystery sci-fi series that brings back many elements of the old private-eye genre. Colin Farrell (In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths) stars as the titular protagonist, John Sugar. This season, Sugar will return for a completely new case, all the while he must continue to look for his older sister. New cast members include Jin Ha (Pachinko, Civil War), Raymond Lee (Top Gun: Maverick, Quantum Leap), Tony Dalton (The Last Of Us, Hawkeye), Laura Donnelly (The Nevers, Say Nothing), and Sasha Calle (The Flash, In The Summers). Shea Wingham (Take Shelter, It’s Florida Man) will guest star. The series is created by Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, Old Boy).
Lucky
Lucky, based on the New York Time’s best selling novel by Marissa Stapley (The Lightning Bottle, The Last Resort), will star Anna Taylor-Joy (The Menu, The Queen’s Gambit) as a woman hampered by her youth in the world of crime who must return to her former deviant behavior in order to leave it behind once and for all. The series is co-created by Tropper, who writes under his Apple TV deal.
Ted Lasso, season four
Ted Lasso is one of the most watched show in the history of Apple TV+. Although this will be the fourth season of Ted Lasso, it feels almost as if it’s a reboot. The third season was a fitting conclusion to the series, and wrapped up Ted’s journey with AFC Richmond’s men’s team quite nicely. The fourth season will follow Ted as the coach of the AFC Richmond’s women’s team, something that was teased by Keely and Rebecca at the end of season three. While many notable names will return, Jamie, played by Phil Dunster (Save Me, The Devil’s Hour), will not due to scheduling conflicts.
