The series Silo is currently in its second season but according to The Hollywood Reporter it received an early renewal, securing a two-season extension that will carry it through to the conclusion of its story with season four.
Silo is halfway through its second season on the streaming service and is based on a trilogy of Hugh Howey’s novels (Wool,Shift,Dust). The program will be able to tell its whole story thanks to the two-season pickup.
With the two-season renewal ensuring a complete narrative, showrunner and executive producer Graham Yost (Justified, The Pacific) expressed his excitement about the opportunity to finish the story He continued to tell The Hollywood reporter.
“It has been a richly rewarding experience to adapt Hugh’s epic novels with our partners at Apple and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this complete story to the screen over the course of four seasons,” showrunner and executive producer Yost said in a statement. “With the final two chapters of Silo, we can’t wait to give fans of the show an incredibly satisfying conclusion to the many mysteries and unanswered questions contained within the walls of these silos.”
Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the shocking news via social media site X the renewal of Silo for both a third and fourth season, stating, “Excited to share that ‘Silo’ will return for a third AND fourth season! We’re thrilled to support the imagination and inspiration out of the UK as they continue to create world-class films and series,” as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The series, starring Rebecca Ferguson(The White Queen, The Red Tent) who also serves as an executive producer. The show follows one of the last 10,000 survivors on Earth, living in a mile-deep silo that shields them from the toxic, deadly environment above. Despite the silo’s protective walls, the origins of this refuge remain a mystery, and those who seek answers often meet grim fates. Ferguson portrays Juliette, an engineer determined to uncover the truth behind a loved one’s murder, only to discover a conspiracy far more complex than she could have imagined.
Ferguson tells The Hollywood Reporter “I’ve loved every minute of bringing Juliette to the screen and am immensely proud of what we’ve all created with Silo since the first episode,” said Ferguson. “I have always felt passionately about telling the entire story contained within Hugh Howey’s books, so I couldn’t be happier that audiences around the world have enthusiastically embraced the show.
