The Apple TV+ original comedy, Mythic Quest, has announced its second season premiere in accompaniment with a short teaser of what is to come, according to an Apple press release. Hailing from the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia creators Rob McElhenney (Fargo) and Charlie Day (Horrible Bosses), the series was also co-created by Megan Ganz (Modern Family). The series premiered on the streaming service in February 2020 with ten episodes and also featured a special episode in May titled “Quarantine.”
Mythic Quest centers on the exploits of the work environment at a video game studio as it prepares for the newest release of a fan-favorite video game series. The series stars McElhenney in the main role as Ian Grimm and he is joined by Ashly Burch (Horizon Zero Dawn), Imani Hakim (Everybody Hates Chris), Charlotte Nicdao (Content), F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus, Homeland), Danny Pudi (Community), Jessie Ennis (Love, Better Call Saul), and David Hornsby (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia).
Season two of the Apple original series will pick up at the conclusion of quarantine when all of the studio’s employees return to an in-person work environment. Once more, the group is tasked with creating another new expansion video game. This second season will premiere on the Apple streaming service on Friday, May 7. The first season can be streamed entirely on Apple TV+. The teaser trailer can be viewed below from Ubisoft’s Youtube Channel:
